Whilst reading widely about entrepreneurship is important, the team here at Aeona believe that entrepreneurs really need to get involved in the startup community. From building networks to learning from experienced founders, there’s a wealth of opportunities out there in the Sydney startup community.

So we’ve decided to compile a list of startup events happening this month that you should highly consider attending. For your benefit we’ve also tried to include as many free events as we could in the list below! Get your calendars ready…

Wednesday 15th March

5:00pm – 8:30pm: Boards as a Business Growth Secret Weapon [Fireside Chat with the Experts

In the jungle that is accelerated business growth there are a lot of untamed animals to face. If you haven’t been before you most likely don’t know which way to go.

Capital raise – how much and when? Is it just a matter of going to the bank?

How can you use a board (bouncing board / advisory board / board of directors) to, in an uncomplicated manner, drive massive growth?

We typically see people start with all these questions, and while they’re great questions, they’re meaningless unless you have the right team.

Whether it’s a group of friends or a keynote in front of 1000 people, these skills, techniques and principles will assist you in being at comfort and easy (you might even pull off cool), whilst delivering your message.

We’ll even cover a few techniques for our business owners, coaches, network marketers, personal trainers that I guarantee will increase the amount of people you convert into your business from a presentation. That’s always worth while.

Thursday March 17th

12:30pm – 1:30pm: Sydney Lunch’n’Learn: The Power of Publishing for Entrepreneurs

In a world where everyone is marketing in the same way, and there are more people in the market than ever before, how can you get noticed?

The entrepreneurial market is busier than ever, with more people than ever freelancing, consulting and building small businesses with nothing more than an internet connection.

But, while the internet is a great tool to launch your business, everyone else is using it too.

You need a point of difference, something more than just another flash website or 1,000 Likes. Like in a job interview when an employer asks you what makes you different to all the other candidates, your potential customers and partners are looking for what makes you different to everyone else in your field.

And what better way to stand out from the crowd then by becoming a published author?
